First Aid for Cuts Treatment




Knowing your first aid for cuts is essential to proper healing.

Cuts and scrapes are common incidents especially when you're out in the woods enjoying nature.

  • stop any bleeding with gentle pressure
  • clean the cut with clean water or an antiseptic
  • apply an antibiotic cream or ointment to the cut and cover with a sterile bandage
  • change the bandage daily


  • Seek out medical attention if you see signs of infection such as pain, redness, swelling, puss or if the area feels very warm to the touch.

    Treatment for minor cuts and scrapes is fairly simple but needs to be treated as soon as possible.
