The Mid-Layer Keeps the Air around You Warm!

The mid-layer of clothing is what you wear on top of your base layer .
It's purpose is to retain body heat by creating a barrier of still air around your body and decreases warm air loss.

We use fabrics such as fleece, merino wool and polypropylene. These fabrics wick away moisture away from your body to your outer layer.

These clothes needs to keep you warm and be able to dry quickly if they become wet. One of the reasons we love merino wool for camping and hiking is because of it's odour resistance qualities.

For family car camping though, you can also bring sweatshirts and sweaters you have at home. Just keep in mind that cotton will absorb and retain moisture and does not dry quickly.
