One Man Tent for Teens
or an Extra Camper!

A one man tent is similair in construction to larger tents.

We are all about family camping, but many people do go solo camping or backpacking and this is perfect for them.

For family camping though, it does serve a purpose. Many teens become reluctant to go camping and sleep in the same tent as mom and dad.

Here's a great way to keep them going with the family without the fuss.

Give them their own tent.

They'll have their own place to sleep and some privacy during the day.

Look for the same things you would in a larger tent:

  • a great fly for vestibule or covered porch area.
  • enough ventilation.
  • easy to set up-check out the tent instructions first.

  • Another really cool idea is the hammock tent.

This is suspended with webbed straps between trees.

It keeps you off the ground and many people swear by them.

The downside is there is less insulation and you may feel colder if the air temperature drops at night because you won't have anything keeping your backside warm.

If your kids are getting older and giving you some grief about sleeping in the family tent, you might want to consider giving them their own.
