Water Purifier Tablets

Using water purifier tablets is another way to go. They are lightweight, easy to pack and easy to use.

The drawback to them is that you need to wait at least 20 minutes after you use the drops before you can drink your water.

The second drawback is many people find there is a chemical aftertaste.



This is not our best water purifier choice but is an excellent back up to take on any backpacking trip or just for dayhikes.

They are much lighter and take up less space which makes them ideal to have on day hikes, especially if all you're packing is a small backpack or fanny pack. They'd even slip into a pocket.
